mommy got a present from a nice lady in the area today. it was a beautiful quilt with a backing in blues and purples and a front with lots of pretty sunburst patterns on it. she is keeping it hidden from me because she says that black cats shouldn't be on quilts like that. (she thinks the quilt is too nice for every day use.)
but i am beautiful and black and would look wonderful on it!

Tell your mum she is wrong - black cats are allowed EVERYWHERE, even on the kitchen counters if you like. I don't go in for that myself, but far be it from me to deny someone else the pleasure. That quilt was totally made for you.
